Well I put my nose to the grindstone this week and got my house fairly presentable. My family room is once again organized and clean. My room is looking good, I even made up my bed with all the fancy pillows! Nursery clean, tidy and all extraneous items removed. Including all the clothes that don't fit them anymore.
My big boys cleaned their own rooms so I still need to go through their closets and dejunk. I think maybe I will send them out with their Dad one day and do it myself. Then I can be brutal.
I now have about 20 bins of baby girl and boy clothes, sizes 3 and under to sort through. I can't wait to find out whether I am having a girl or a boy, so that I can get rid of half of these clothes.
Ugh, I just realized that I still have my basement to go through. So much junk. One of these day though, I will be happily clutter free!
My sister and her family are visiting for the weekend, her son is playing in a hockey tournament here. We were all so excited to see them and catch up a bit. We took all the kids to Charles E. Fromage for dinner, my niece has been asking to go ever since we took our other niece there in the summer. They are both 5 and the cutest, most precocious little girlies that you could ever meet. The kids had a blast and tired out their parents.
We have a crazy weekend of hockey ahead of us between the 3 boys. Both of my kids have hockey before 8 am. Ugh. I don't do anything before 8 am anymore. Oh well, I get to see my kids doing what they love.
I guess I won't be around much this weekend, looking forward to getting back in the swing of things on Monday.

  3. I hope you have a wonderful weekend visit with family, as busy as it sounds.

I need to de-clutter my house too. The kids have so much junk they no longer play with. One day when they're at school, I'll be able to get rid of stuff, and they probably won't even notice!

  4. So productive!

Hearty congrats on the new baby, I'm behind on reading so I just found out. I hope all goes well and healthy, be gentle with yourself.

(oh, and I had the spelling word "exercise" on a spelling list once upon a time, I spelled it wrong, my teacher corrected me, she spelled it wrong, my mom corrected it and sent it back. Irony is that my moms spelling STINKS!)

  6. That's so great about the organizing! There must be something in the air. You did some, we've been doing it, and I've read several other bloggers who have been in the midst of it. Hope you had a great weekend and got a little rest.

  7. I'm slowly getting around to my house. Just about the time when I get a room done it mysteriously gets more clutter. One of these days...

  8. I love, love, love decluttering. I'm going through a purge phase myself, and am enjoying it thoroughly (I'm sick, I know).

  12. You should be so proud of yourself. Here I am, not pregnant, and taking the day off school yesterday and today because I need a break. Oh, I'm such a wimp.

  13. Anytime I am home without my kids (which is rare) I try to purge toys and junk and clothes they can't wear anymore!
