Still here.

Well, my body doesn't seem to be that anxious to let go of baby. I have been having little bouts of contractions since Saturday night, but to no avail it seems. 3 or 4 contractions about 10 minutes apart and then nothing for a few hours. What is up with that???

Our church had a kick off carnival on Saturday and everyone was harassing me:) about the baby. I found out that the first time mom who was due the day before me, actually had her baby on her due date. Over a week ago. ugh.

My best friend from college was also due the day before me, and her little guy came on August 19th! She was teasing me that her baby will be walking by the time Baby Zed makes his appearance. What can I say, my babies are comfy in my womb. In fact, most of them spent much of their first couple years trying to claw their way through my chest back inside. That is what their Daddy always said when he would watch them cuddling with me, never being able to get close enough to me.

But I am hanging in here, hoping against hope to go in before tomorrow. I am quite uncomfortable trying to get around, but in general I feel fine. I can't wait for my pelvis to knit itself back together after baby comes and I can once again roll over in bed, or lift my leg to towel it off after bathing.

Oh! I can't wait to show you pictures of my little boys' room after all the trim is painted. It looks so awesome. Brent finished re-painting after Girly's painting help and it is amazing. I can't wait to get it all decorated and move my boys in there.

My dad is here for the next day or so, I really would like him to be able to hold baby Zed before he goes back to work, I am gonna spend the day hangout out with him and maybe jumping on the trampoline. Do you think that might do the trick?

  1. Sending you lots of labour vibes and best wishes!

My good friend and I were suppose to have babies 9 days apart and then mine came early and hers late and they are 42 days apart!

Good luck...he has got to come at some time!

  2. My boys never wanted to leave either. Can't REALLY say I blame them.

  3. Ha! I want pictures if you do jump on that trampoline!

  4. Are you serious about jumping on the trampoline? It's so hard during the last days. I remember feeling that way, then the crying, screaming sleep-stealer made me wonder what the hurry was! :-) Seriously, Kristen, hang in there and I can't wait to see the room either!

  5. Nope, not serious about the tramp, I think I would die of the pain in my pelvis. I am walking pretty gingerly these days and having a hard time getting up the stairs never mind jumping. Unfortunately.
I am enjoying my bed though, sleeping as much as I want is pretty awesome, trying to appreciate that as much as possible!

  6. I think the tramp will just make you pee yourself lol.
I'm praying for you and zed. I'll be praying on the 9th for sure.

I wish I could be there to help and to hold everything together for you. Let me know if you need me to come before October.
    Love you - hugs!
Can't wait to see the room!

  7. OK, I never tried this, but a friend of mine told me to push furniture around if I wanted to jumpstart my labor. It sounded like it took way too much energy on my part, but she said it worked for her. I will say she recommends it, since I have no firsthand experience with it.
But I figured if you were finishing up the boys' room, you might have a bed to push, or something.
Good luck and hopefully your father will get to meet Zed!

  8. Hang in there! I'll admit that I like the image of a very pregnant woman jumping on a trampoline, but I don't imagine that it's endorsed by the medical professionals!

  9. Right there with you babe :)

Something about our wombs must be overly hospitable...try as I might, the Little Miss is hanging on for dear life.

At what point will they induce you? 42 weeks? I am expecting it to come to that w/ me - either this week or next.

  10. Well, he must be nice and cozy. Why come out here, when you can be nice and warm in mom's belly? (: I hope he makes an appearance soon, I know you are ready!!

  11. Oh, I can't believe you are that close - WOW~! You might very well be at the hospital as I type this. I hope it is soon and all goes well for you and Baby Zed! Take care, Sweetie and do not get on a trampoline! Kellan

  13. Actually, if you're really serious about starting your contractions, go and take a REALLY hot bath. Sit, soak and remember that this is the last quiet time you'll have for a while. You need to do something that will raise your body temperature. It's not harmful to the baby. Just make sure you're ready to hit the hospital in a few hours. Or raspberry tea (real stuff, not the fruit flavoured ones) will start your contractions too. Good luck with everything and please post pics on facebook. I'd love to see them!! Love Tonya

  14. Thank you for your incredibly sweet comment aon my blog! You are so encouraging and kind, especially after I forgot to list your name in my list. I really seriously had you listed to put on there and then I got interrupted and then went off my sidebar instead of my brain when I got back to it. All to which reminds me, care if I link to you? I hope you have that precious baby soon. I like your name - love that it's different and short. It sounds strong. Anyway, I will say a prayer for you tonight as you wait it out. Just wait, your kid has stewed longer and will be bigger to kick your friend's kid's hiney. Oh, I jest! Can't wait to see His Cuteness. :)

  16. Oh, you poor thing! I hope its not too much longer. Are they going to induce if you don't go on your own in the next few days?

oh, and my friend used castor oil. One tablespoon, and she was in labor!

  17. I am getting quite excited for little Zed to arrive! Isn't it funny how we can get so anxious for someone we've never met IRL? Good luck with everything girl. Sending prayers for these last few days and for the birth & delivery!
